ROOM TYPES & RATES

Run-of-HouseThe Run-of-House rooms are located in the Palace Tower and Forum Tower. These towers are near our meeting space in the hotel’s conference center, with Palace Tower being the closest. Palace Tower elevators are located in the meeting space. The Forum Tower elevators are about a three minute walk to the meeting space. The Palace Tower rooms are referred to as “Deluxe” and the Forum Tower rooms are referred to as “Classic.”

  • Saturday, September 24 through Tuesday, September 27: $245 USD single/double occupancy, plus resort fee and current taxes.*
  • Wednesday, September 28 through Sunday, October 2: $200 USD single/double occupancy, plus resort fee and current taxes.*

Premium King RoomsThese rooms are located in the Octavius Tower and Augustus Tower and are referred to as the “Laurel Collection.”  If a “Laurel Collection” room is selected, the room will be located in either the Octavius Tower or Augustus Tower. Guests do not get to choose the tower. Note these towers are about an 8-10 minute walk away from the meeting space, so a bit farther away than the “Run-of-House” rooms.

  • Saturday, September 24 through Tuesday, September 27: $295 USD single/double occupancy, plus resort fee and current taxes.*
  • Wednesday, September 28 through Sunday, October 2: $250 USD single/double occupancy, plus resort fee and current taxes.*

*A daily resort fee of $29 per room, per night plus the current 12% Clark Country room tax (subject to change) will be charged in addition to the room rates listed above. This resort fee includes unlimited local phone calls (no long distance or international calls), two admissions per day to the Fitness Center (does not include spa), in-room internet access to include two devices per room, per day, and access to the outdoor pool area. Additional persons in the room above two people will be charged at a rate of $30.00 per person, per night, with a maximum of four persons per room. Children under 18 years and younger may stay in their parent’s or guardian’s room at no charge in the existing bedding.

BeddingThe “King” rooms have one king size bed. All “Double” rooms have two queen size beds.

Higher Rate for Early Nights:  Note that the nights of Saturday, September 24 through Tuesday, September 27, 2016, will be charged at a slightly higher rate than the remainder of the week, as there is a city wide convention in town over the earlier nights, driving up room demand. The ISHRS reservation website will show the average daily rates, but when looking at specific days, the ISHRS rate will be listed below.

Rates Honored 3 Days Pre- and 3 Days Post-Meeting:  The ISHRS Group rates will be extended three days pre- and post-meeting, based on hotel availability.  These rates will not be available past the group cut-off date of August 26, 2016. Available pre- and post-meeting days (September 21-23, 2016 and October 3-6, 2016) will be charged at the Group rates of $200 USD for Run of House Rooms and $250 USD for Premium Rooms.

Special arrangements for those in the ISHRS Room Block:  Special arrangements have been made so that all guest rooms in the ISHRS room block will include the following added benefits!

  • A $13 per room daily mini-bar credit that can be used to either cover the cost of the coffee that is kept in the mini-bar for use with the in-room coffeemaker, or for any other item from the mini-bar.
  • Two complimentary bottles of in-room water on a daily basis.

In addition, all ISHRS meeting attendees will have access to complimentary wireless internet in the meeting space and casino over the program dates of September 24 through October 3, 2016.

Hotel Deposit/Guarantee/Cancellation Policy

In order to confirm reservations, the Hotel requires a one-night deposit including resort fee and taxes by major credit card for each room.  The Hotel will charge your credit card immediately for the one night’s deposit. You may cancel up to 72 hours prior to your arrival date without charge (the deposit to your credit card will be refunded). If you cancel within 72 hours of your arrival date or “no show,” you will be charged for one night, forfeiting the one night deposit.

 Check-in time is 4:00PM and check-out time is 12:00PM (noon).


Airport & Ground Transportation Information

Caesars Palace is located approximately 3 miles (a 10-15 minute drive) from McCarran International Airport  https://www.mccarran.com/ (official airport code is LAS).

Baggage Claim: There are two baggage claim areas at this airport. Be sure to go to the proper one as directed for your airline/arrival gate.

Taxis: The approximate one-way taxi fare to/from McCarran International Airport is currently $15.00-$19.00USD, depending on traffic, plus tip. Rides originating from the airport will be on the higher side of that price range as they include a $2.00 airport pick up fee. The taxi lines in Las Vegas are often long, so be prepared to wait. Most taxis accept credit cards. If using a credit card, please be sure to check with your driver when getting in the taxi to be sure they accept credit card payment.

Uber and Lyft: For those who prefer to use these private ridesharing services, Uber and Lyft are both allowed to service McCarran International Airport. https://www.uber.com/cities/las-vegas/, https://www.lyft.com/cities/las-vegas

Limousine Service: Limousine services to and from the airport and throughout the city are available. To request information on limo service through the hotel, please contact the Concierge Desk at 1-702-731-7266.

Car Rental: If you would like to rent a car, Hertz Rental Car has a location in Caesars Palace located next to Rao’s Restaurant and the Bacchanal Buffet.  Hours of operation are 7:00AM to 5:00PM seven days a week. Hotel Parking: Complimentary valet and self-parking are available for all hotel guests. All parking is first come, first serve, and based on availability. The hotel garages are open 24 hours and are always staffed and security monitored.

Invitation for Visa: If you require an invitation to the meeting on ISHRS letterhead for the purpose of obtaining a visa, you may request this during the registration process.

Medical and Other Insurance: It is advised that you check with your personal medical insurance plan before leaving your home country to ensure you have adequate traveling insurance.  Visitors are urged to take out insurance to cover loss incurred in the case of cancellation, medical expenses and damage to or loss of personal effects whenever traveling outside of their own country.

Population: The population of the greater Las Vegas area is 2,147,641. The greater Las Vegas area is comprised of the cities of Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder City and unincorporated areas of Clark County.

Time Zone: At the time of our meeting, Las Vegas will be on Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) which is UTC/GMT minus 7 hours. So when it’s 12:00PM (noon) in Las Vegas, it is 3:00PM in New York City and 8:00PM in London (all the same day).

Weather: In late September/early October, the Las Vegas temperatures will be in the high 80°sF (30-32°C) during the day and will likely drop into the mid-60°sF (18-20°C) at night.  As Las Vegas is in the Mojave desert, there is little rain and the nights cool off.  Be sure to drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration.

Local Taxes: Currently, the local sales tax is 8.1% and the hotel occupancy tax (Clark County room tax) is 12%.  The taxes will be added to the price/rate shown. They are not included in the price shown.

Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard and American Express are widely accepted.

Tipping:  The following are suggested tipping levels from U.S. News & World Report Tipping Guide.

Restaurants- The standard U.S. tipping range is 10-20%, based on service satisfaction. Restaurants often automatically add the tip for parties of 6 or more, so please do check carefully to see if a tip is already added.

Hotel- Current suggested hotel tipping levels are bellman/$1-2 per bag, maid/$2-3 per night, and valet/$3-5 at car pick-up.

Taxi- It is customary to tip taxi drivers anywhere between 10%-20%, depending on service and if they assisted in handling your luggage.

Electricity: Electrical power is standardized in all states across the USA. It is set at 110 Volts and 60 cycles. 220 Volt power is used in homes only for large appliances like stoves, water heaters and clothes dryers. It is not normally available for personal appliances.

Standard electric plugs have two flat blades. The plugs on some newer appliances have a third round grounding pin. Almost all buildings are equipped with electrical receptacles that can accommodate either type of plug.
